"It’s great because he comes to your house so you can be lazy, but he makes up for it when he gets there!”
Gregg’s passion for fitness and helping people started at a young age. When he was a freshman in high school playing
football, he tore his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Gregg was in great physical shape and the doctor
told him that it must have been a sprain. He worked hard for 3 straight months to no avail. His leg was not getting
any stronger. He had his first surgery on the knee and they found the tear. As he went through physical therapy, he
found his passion. Gregg went to physical therapy for about a year then had his second surgery to have the ACL
reconstructed. After that he was hooked, Gregg volunteered for HealthSouth Medical Rehabilitation for about 500 hours
and then went to a hospital setting to experience a different type of physical therapy and volunteered there for 200 hours.
His career path led him to Central Michigan University where he went into athletic training. After a few semesters,
he changed to health fitness in preventative and rehabilitative programs so that he could help not only athletes but
anyone who needed support to meet their physical goals. In his senior year of college he was certified by American
Council on Exercise and worked for Wellness Central Fitness and also did independent personal training. Gregg
completed his internship and began working at Wildwood Athletic Club after graduation. Gregg worked at Wildwood for
4 years and obtained his second certification from National Academy of Sports Medicine during this time. In that time,
he also became one of the top personal trainers. Gregg also began writing in the Sylvania Advantage and the Toledo Free
Press to inform and encourage our community to become more active in their daily lives. As he noticed that many of his
clients only came in when they worked with him, he decided to open his own company where he could give his clients what
they wanted. Gregg’s clients now pay only for the services that they use. His clients also wanted convenience,
flexibility, and results which is what they get with American Mobile Fitness. We continue to offer new services to
our clients. We now offer personal training, buddy training, group training, golf specific training in collaboration with Center Fore Golf Performance,
massage therapy, and group exercise, all in our state of the art studio or in the comforts of your own home. Gregg has worked
with people from all walks of life and has helped them all achieve their own success.
